Edition 7: Reconnection in the In-Between Moments

I don’t travel interstate for work often. However, in the past weeks, it happened twice. Each time, it was three days away from home.

That is a lot of time apart.

A lot of back-to-back meetings.

A lot of opportunities to slip onto autopilot.

Instead of falling into a routine, my husband and I met halfway after work hours on a Friday night. Literally.

We met for dinner in a restaurant between his workplace and home.

Just us. No to-do list. No phones (except to snapping one photo).

It reminded me that reconnection doesn’t need a special occasion. Just intention.
